In view of technical advancement, industrialization and globalization there has been a continuous increase of demand for the qualified technical manpower in both national and international levels. Taking this issue as an important one, Government established 51 Vocational Training Institution in 1965.
It is a matter of joy for us all that Human Resource Development (HRD) of our country has a special care on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Sunamgonj Govt. Technical School and College was established in 1968 at the centre of the Sunamgonj town beside Surma river. The area of land of this TSC is 5.7 acre and the campus has a beautiful look. A number of students are working home and abroad after passing from this institution and are contributing to the development of the country. As Sunamgonj District is situated in marsh and fen area (Haor), this TSC has Fish Culture and Breeding Trade which is available only in 6 TSCs out of 64 in Bangladesh.
This Technical School and College has a beautiful infrastructure along with skilled and qualified teachers and staffs. A good number of dedicated teachers is running the institution smoothly. The relationship between staff and students is extremely good and friendly. We hope with the grace of Almighty Allah, we will achieve our mission and vision and thus help to build Digital Bangladesh.
